ALL THE SINGLE LADIES...

...PUT YOUR HANDS UP!

Today may be only be another Sunday. But for me, March 25th has been a very important and significant date. For the past three years now anyway. Three years ago on this date, I had something happen to me. Something I never thought I could survive. I got dumped.

I officially became single again. At the time, you know when you're crying your eyes out, hyperventilating and all that jazz, you think it is the END OF THE WORLD. Little did I know that this was going to be the beginning. A beautiful beginning to a whole new me and a whole new journey. The journey that I currently am still on (the being single journey) and not to sound cheesy or overly sappy, but it has honestly been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm such a different person. I've learned so much, done so much more and now, I know exactly what (and who) I want in my life.

I know the negative connotations that come with being single (especially if you are the one who got dumped) but as I said in my last post about change, EMBRACE IT. This is another form of change that can happen to anyone, at any point in their life. You have to be able to take the lessons out of that relationship, learn to adapt to change and own it (same thing as embracing it).

So single ladies, don't drown in your sorrows. Don't continuously frown. SMILE! You have every reason to smile. You may not be in a relationship. You may not have a boyfriend to call or text or say 'I love you' to but I bet that you have some very special people (including yourself) in your life who would love a phone call, a caring text message (send one to yourself; I've done it) and I bet there is one person in your life, a mom, dad, brother, or best friend who would love to hear you tell them you love them.

Single does not have to mean sad. Single can mean sassy, sensational, or sexy. Single is what you make it. Make it positive & EMBRACE IT.

Single for a while? Got positive advice? Need advice? Comment.
