Yesterday, my Facebook timeline exploded. Not with status updates or pictures but rather with one video. This twenty-nine minute long video has impacted my time line on Facebook greatly and I can't even begin to imagine how many other people's time lines it has impacted as well.

KONY 2012

This video is about raising awareness about a man, Joseph Kony, who has been abducting, killing, and turning children into sex slaves and child soldiers for the past twenty-six years. TWENTY-SIX YEARS! As the video states, if this was happening in America or Canada, it would be national news. This organization has come together to raise awareness and to get President Obama and other American politicians to pay attention to what is happening and to send help to Central Africa.

Joseph Kony MUST be arrested this year!

The children of Central Africa should not live in fear of being abducted, killed or turned into child soldiers. No child should live in fear. Every child should be able to have a childhood and have a life.

This story truly touched me. I am ordering my kit to make a difference and I will be covering the night on April 20th, 2012.
