FAB FIVE!

Sunday May 13th, 2012 is Mother's Day.

I hold this holiday very dear to my heart because for me, my mother is my world. I simply adore her. I know not everyone has a mother to adore but I know that we all have strong, independent, wise and lovely women we hold dear to our hearts. Mother's Day is an extra day to honor and celebrate this remarkable women! (Even though we should do that every single day!)
How can you celebrate? Well spending time with them is a good start.

Here are my FAB FIVE Mother's Day Gift Ideas:

1. A home made card. Just like when you were a kid in elementary school. A little treasure like that is amazing! My friend A.L. still makes one each year for her mom which is super cute! (Plus, I'm sure we'd all like to think that with age, we've all gotten a lot better with the arts & crafts.)

2. "Pampering my mama," is what one of my friends said she loves to do! There are so many simple spa packages or even mani/pedi packages that are available that are spectacular but won't break the bank. (My mom is super picky with her hands and feet so since I have the stuff at home, I give her a mani/pedi at home and we get to talk and bond.)

3. A brunch or lunch is always a perfect idea! A place you both love to eat at or somewhere new for both of you to try. I think my favorite mother's day was when my bestfriend and I took our mothers and grandmothers to a restaurant and picked up the bill. It was a super fun day!

4. If you're skilled chef like my friend I.D. you can cook your mom a feast. He says "it gives her a little break" which is perfect since Mother's Day is all about MOM! Maybe breakfast in bed or her favorite meal. You can get other family members to help too!!

5. A gift or flowers. Maybe she has a special flower which she loves to receive or maybe there is a special gift you want to get her. My ideas for gifts are usually essentials or things that will hold meaning. For example, one year I got my mom a basket of essentials. Socks, hand lotions, bath products, etc. Things she will need & use. She loved it!!

Those are my FAB FIVE suggestions for making this coming Mother's Day (Sunday May 13th, 2012). A super special day for your Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Friend or a woman you hold dear to your heart on this special day.
