But how much Faith is enough?..
Lately, I've been stressing and worrying a lot about my life, my career and where I'm headed. I'm a very positive person and I have a lot of faith in myself and in the Universe, but how much faith is enough? Everyone has their moments of doubt and everyone worries (I do it more than I should) but there will be a light at the end of that tunnel. My blog focuses on being a twenty something and what it's like to go through certain experiences, being this twenty something. Let me tell you, it's not as easy it may seem. I have major anxiety issues and that causes a lot of doubt. Makes sense right? They kind of go hand in hand BUT I had a serious conversation with myself this past weekend (don't act like you don't do it with yourself because everyone does). I decided that I wouldn't let my anxiety and doubt over power my faith in myself and in the positive way in which I think. There are decisions as individuals we have to make for ourselves and I made this one for me.
I told myself that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, even if the tunnel isn't the one you planned on being in. At the end of the day, the Universe has its plan for you, one greater than you imagined for yourself (may sound cheesy, but it's very true). We can only do our best and let the Universe (or if you're religious like me, God) do the rest. My elementary school principal always said it to us and I'll never forget it. It's such a true statement. We can push ourselves, plan our whole life out but only the Universe knows what's going to happen to us and how the plan will unfold. We have to remember that. As easy as it is to doubt ourselves and worry about what we don't know, it's also better to continue to believe in ourselves and have faith. In today's society there is a lot of negativity and it's hard to stay positive but in today's "Talk about it Tuesday" post, I'm hoping that you will take the positive road when you're doubting yourself in any aspect of your life.
Here are some of my favorite quotes that motivate and get me back on track with positive thinking:
"Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare." - Muhammad Ali
"All that we are is a result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become." - Buddha
"If something's bound to happen, it will happen. Right time, right person, and for the best reason."
Remember, doubting is easy but keeping the faith is hard. Keep the faith. What do you do when you doubt yourself? Comment. Share.
