For all you last minute people or for you individuals who are stuck and don't know what to get your mom/grandmother/aunt for Mother's Day, this edition of FRIDAY FAB FIVE is for you! I find my mom to be one of the hardest people to buy a gift for; no matter what the occasion. So this year I went back to basics and decided to give her a makeover of sorts. She really wanted to get her haircut in a specific style and had a specific length in mind so I decided that I would give her a wash, cut and style at my favorite salon, as her Mother's Day gift. Remember, it's the thought that counts and not the quantity or the amount of money you spent on the gift.
It can get really hard to be original (especially if you have siblings) each and every year. Lucky for you, I've got FIVE FABULOUS ideas for you!
Here are my FAB FIVE Mother's Day gift ideas:
1. An essentials basket. If your mom is someone who loves products for the house, then fill a wicker basket up of her favourite items! (For example, household cleaning products, bath & body works products, etc.)
2. A manicure/pedicure package. You can never really go wrong with this gift because they can always use a manicure and/or pedicure to relax and feel beautiful again. Some places even through in massages to their packages!
3. A shopping spree! This doesn't mean you have to go nuts at all. My brother and I usually for other occasions, give our mom money and go shopping with her. She can pick out what she loves and you can spend some quality time together. (And maybe even do some shopping for yourself!)
4. A lovely meal. Sometimes the best thing you can give your mom/grandmother/aunt is your time. I think spending time at a delicious brunch/lunch/dinner is a great way to spend time together and you can treat them picking up the tab!
5. A card & flowers. You can NEVER go wrong with a card that is written with heartfelt words and beautiful flowers. Simplicity is sometimes key and after all, it's the thought that counts!
