Talk about it Tuesday!!

Take the chance...

This weekend I was with my volleyball team (and friends, best part!) at a facility that we use to play for fun and get in practice. We needed to practice for our final game this past Sunday (which we won by the way, WOO!). My best friend and I spotted a guy that we both thought was cute and my mission then was to talk to him to see if he's single (silly I know, but its what girls need to do sometimes, don't judge!). We played with his team for majority of the night. My best friend and I decided to name him "Number 12". Glances were given constantly and long story short, I didn't get his number. Nor did I even talk to him. Why? Well it's simple, I'm one of those girls who believes that the guy should make the first move. Even after what Matthew Hussey (Author of "Get the Guy") has taught me. Girls feel like if we make the first move then we're the ones who are desperate and it puts us in a position to get shut down.

STOP THIS!!!

You know how many times I told my best friend that I was kicking myself?! One too many times. What was the worst that could have happened? I asked him if he was single, he said no and that was that? Or he could have said yes but I'm not interested?! At least then I could say I tried. Moral of this story ladies? ...TAKE THE CHANCE!

I think we all have these fairy tale ideas (thank you romcoms!) and forget that this is real life. Not everything happens the way we want or imagine it to. Sometimes we have to put ourselves out there and even if that means getting shut down, at least we can say we tried rather than always wonder. My advice to you is to try to be vulnerable once in a while because we are after all only human. Always remember, just like in every other aspect of our lives, we don't take the chance, we will never know what could have happened. Take a chance!
