Talk about it Tuesday!

Two weeks ago, I wrote about how I didn't take a chance with a guy. I was too scared to be vulnerable and I missed out on what could have been a good opportunity. I emphasized that I definitely learned my lesson from that mistake and that I wouldn't let my fear of rejection and the unknown get to me next time. So guess what I did,

I took the chance!

Yes, I did it! Long story short, I was at a friend's BBQ and was introduced to this guy who I found attractive. My friends and even my older brother said to go for it. So, I DID! I started a conversation, got to know him and in the end, we exchanged numbers. Now, there was never a guarantee that anything would even come of that but I'm proud of myself for taking the chance and opening up the chance of rejection. Rejection can happen but you have to be willing to be vulnerable and allow yourself to open up. The only was I was ever going to be comfortable with talking to guys and being in a vulnerable position was if I actually took a chance. The minute I let go of my fear, I felt comfortable and it became fun.  It was nice to be able to be brave, bold and be confident in myself. I think we often get too scared of rejection that we forget that taking a risk is good for us. Just remember that the most successful people in this world, all took chances. They had to take risks. Embrace your fears and TAKE THE CHANCE!

Would you ever take the chance if the opportunity came around again?
