"If you're not willing, you'll never be able."
I claim that I came up with this quote. Which, technically I did. In the car with my Momma the other day but who knows if some wise person came up with it before I even thought of it. Either way, I'm claiming it as mine for the purposes of bettering myself and inspiring and helping those around me.
A little back story on the quote? Like I said before, I was in the car with my Momma and we were talking about people complaining about how hard life is and how challenging life can get. All of a sudden those words came out of my mouth and ta-da, just like that a "quote" was created (my very own original quote I'd like to think).
The quote simply is derived from what my Momma always says about being "willing and able." The quote just means that if you are not willing to do certain things in life, for example taking on hard challenges at work, then you won't be able. "Able" in the sense of being able to either prove yourself to authority, move up in the workforce, etc. I always think about being willing and able when challenges and struggles come up in my life. What if I never am WILLING to overcome them? Would I then be ABLE to reach my full potential? (Think about the connection.)
Its amazing how such a strong message can come from a few words that were in my head (always known to me) and said out loud to make a "quote."
Got a "quote" you live by? Love a lot? Comment.
Xo
P.S. A side note about my "quote." It saved my friend's (A.L.) behind in a very important interview. All because I took what I knew and found important and shared it with those whom I cherish. Now I'm sharing it with you. Remember "If you're not willing, you'll never be able."
