Oh, sometimes I get a GOOD FEELING...
In today's society we are all so busy trying to constantly look good, have nice things and be good at our jobs or in school. We focus on living the life that we often forget to make sure to FEEL GOOD! I'm guilty of focusing on making sure I'm setting myself up for that great career so I can live a good life that I forget to make sure that I FEEL GOOD in the process of all that. I had Monday off this past week and I was thinking (come on, you know you would too!!) This week more than others I've been thinking about my daily routine (work, gym, friends and family all included) and I wanted to see what I did for myself to make me FEEL GOOD. It was kind of hard for me to find particular things that I do to make myself feel this way. I think especially me being a single, twenty something and people around me being in longterm relationships also is a bit of a downer (sometimes; its definitely not that BIG a deal). I, like many people work more than one job and with also being responsible for myself (bills, groceries, etc), it all can get super overwhelming at times. I decided that I would spend the rest of the week trying to do things that would make me FEEL GOOD. (Given that what makes each individual FEEL GOOD varies, I know that feeling good is a feeling everyone wants). How can we change this?
Well, I've got FIVE FAB suggestions for that (come on, you knew it was coming).
FAB FIVE TIPS TO GET YOU FEELING GOOD!
1. Remind yourself to FEEL GOOD. There is no tip better than that one. YOU need to tell yourself and accept the feeling as something you deserve all the time.
2. Break your routine once a week. We all get stuck in the daily routine but maybe you can afford to take an afternoon off or take a different route home. Change it up!
3. GO OUT! Get out of your house, and your own head. Do something fun and different. I love going dancing with my girlfriends on occasion.
4. Join a class, pick up a hobby, or do something you love. It will automatically make you FEEL GOOD
5. Take a day a week for YOU! I love to spend Friday nights solo, cheating on my diet and watching romcoms. (GUILTY!)
Just remember, whatever you do to get that FEEL GOOD feeling, you have to be confident in yourself and know that you deserve it. After all, EVERYONE deserves to FEEL GOOD. Those are my tips, what do you do to FEEL GOOD?! Comment. Share.
